Product information "SpaBalancer pH-Minus liquid"
SpaBalander pH-Minus is a special quadruple-action pH reducer developed for spas.
SpaBalancer pH-Minus reduces the pH of your water. It's use as a liquid makes dosing very easy.
SpaBalancer pH-Minus converts calcium and magnesium in the water into water-soluble salts. The risk of limestone formation is reduced.
SpaBalancer pH-Minus dissolves existing limestone deposits in pipes and on heating elements. The risk of biofilm formation is greatly reduced. Limescale on heating elements increases power consumption and shortens the life of the heating system.
SpaBalancer pH-Minus alters metals contained in the water, e.g. iron and copper. They are converted into filterable substances, reducing the risk of cloudiness or discoloration of the water.
Application
Reducing the pH value is dependent on the hardness of the water. If the water hardness is high, the pH can be difficult to lower and more pH reducer is required. Therefore, dosage amounts can‘t be specified.
First, measure the pH of the water. Then add approx. 50 ml of the pH reducer per 1,000 liters of water into the spa. Allow the pumps to run until everything is thoroughly mixed. After 20 minutes, measure the pH again. From the measured difference you can estimate how much pH-Minus you will need to add to the water.
 
As long as the pH value rises on its own, lower it to 6.0 - 6.5. When it stops rising, adjust between 6.8 and 7.4.
The pH value will repeatedly rise during the first few days / weeks as carbon dioxide escapes from the water. Therefore, the pH value should be regularly measured and lowered.
