 The tips are made of a very resistant anti-microbial plastic. The center column is designed to maximize water flow, for increased filtration with less load on the circulation pump. The pleats are spun-bonded polyester, a nearly tear-proof material that will retain particles until the filter is rinsed.
 Pleatco filters offer better filtration and longer life compared to generic brands.
